‘There will be no political ties, complacency or coexistence of any kind with the Taliban regime,’ Beaune said in an interview with the France Info radio station.

The Afghan insurgents declared the end of the war in Afghanistan on Sunday after their fighters entered Kabul, a fact that caused the exodus of thousands of people and generated a still-ongoing chaos in the country.

Mohammad Naeem, spokesman for the political office of the Taliban, told Al-Jazeera that the armed group would soon decide on the type and form of the new government and assured that citizens and diplomatic missions would be provided with security.
