Havana, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Digitalization in tourism promotion, specialized support for technology management and the development of virtual platforms in Cuba for international events were some of the initiatives presented at FELTi 2021 on Thursday.

The 5th edition of the Forum of Entrepreneurs and Leaders in Information Technologies (FELTi 2021) was on Thursday on its second day, which also showed a presentation on Claustrophobias, a multimedia for the promotion of books that supports Cuban writers as a bastion of culture in the world.

A project for the automation of technological equipment and the remodeling of a collection center of the Oil and Gas Exploration and Extraction Company in Cuba was also presented at the event.

SOFTEL, a company that manages information technologies and knowledge in order to provide IT solutions, also presented its potential to address the opportunities of the portfolio of products and services in the digital transformation.

Scheduled to be held virtually until September 17, FELTi 2021 can be followed through the Fevexpo platform and is attended by 32 exhibitors and 250 visitors from nine countries.

Over 20 state-owned companies and other forms of management are present at the international meeting, which will also be the prelude to Informatica 2022, an event that is planned to be held online as well.

Those attending the meeting, arranged by the ‘Grupo Empresarial de la Informatica y las Comunicaciones’ (Computing and Communication Entrepreneur Group) and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, seek to connect, discover, update and share the success of methodologies or business models that have enabled the digital transformation of their institutions.

Among the goals of FELTi 2021 is to position Cuba within the map of global technological development, in order to boost exports of national services and solutions.
