CSE magistrate calls for respect and ethics in Nicaraguan elections

Managua, Sep 27 Prensa Latina) One single word: Respect, will characterize Nicaragua´s Nov. 7 elections from the ethical viewpoint, the Vice President of the Supreme Electoral Council (CSE) Magistrate Cairo Amador said.

Ethics regulation that will rule the general elections was one of CSE´s first decisions, sworn in on May 5, and agreed with political parties, Amador pointed out.

Respect for the other candidates, public institutions, programs of other formations, and the political bases, trying to bring the whole process in harmony, Amador emphasized.

He stressed the need for the elections to contribute to social peace and having as a horizon the reality of the continuity of life in the country after the elections, with all Nicaraguans together.

Any platforms must be inclusive, promote peace and development, said the magistrate.
