National Ballet of Cuba to resume dance workshops for children

Havana, nov 8 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban National Ballet, a distinguished cast in the teaching of the art on the island, will restart teaching workshops of its Dance School for children and young people, a statement from the entity refers today.

The company, having reached its 73rd foundation anniversary, will begin the 2021-2022 academic year starting on Monday, November 15, for students enrolled in the categories of children, youth and adult ballet.

According to the official note, the school period includes students from 8 to 13 years of age, as well as adults, who will join classes and physical preparation exercises, after being put to pause for months due to the health crisis from Covid-19 in the country.

The confirmation of enrollment, scheduled for November 10 to 14, will be held at the headquarters of the National Ballet, institution which encourages the development of the dance art nationally and internationally, and is distinguished by the artistic-technical rigor of its members.
