We have never accepted and will never recognize puppet rulers, we do not accept any alliance that undermines the sovereignty of the state, the people are on the side of the government elected in free and democratic elections, an official EPPJC communique assures.

The text, which ratifies recent statements by the Council Chairperson Rahel Bafe, also blames the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) for the deteriorating situation in three regional states of the country and the great national unease.

War broke out due to the TPLF’s shameful treason against the National Defense Force Northern Command. Its terrorist acts spread the conflict outside Tigray, the text notes.

Now, the document stresses, the crisis instigated by the Front is increasingly affecting urban and rural farmers, innocent people, included children and women, in several areas of Amhara and Afar regions.
