Al Mayadeen to take part in marathon against blockade against Cuba

Beirut, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) Al Mayadeen television channel on Friday announced its participation in the two-day media marathon, on Saturday and Wednesday, against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

The marathon, sponsored by the Europe for Cuba channel, will demand the lifting of the blockade, and will have a worldwide scope.

The administration of former US President Donald Trump (2017-2021) decreed 243 punitive measures against the Caribbean nation and his successor, Democrat Joe Biden, kept them despite his campaign promises, and even added some new ones.

The aggressive US policy against Cuba has lasted for more than 60 years despite the fact that the UN General Assembly approved on 29 consecutive years the Resolution “Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade Imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”
