SANA news agency joins media marathon rejecting US blockade

Damascus, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) on Friday announced its involvement in the media marathon condemning and rejecting the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

We join such a global initiative to oppose the unilateral coercive US measures and blockade imposed on Cuba, Syria, Russia, Iran, Venezuela and other nations, SANA posted on its official website and social media platforms.

We unite our voices to unmask the hostile and unjust policy implemented by the US administrations against peoples who champion their sovereignty and their right to life, SANA added.

The initiative is sponsored by the Europa por Cuba (Europe for Cuba) channel to be aired on April 2-3, where dozens of media outlets from different nations have joined it, as well as political and trade union associations and prominent figures.

The hostile US policy against Cuba has lasted for over 60 years, despite the fact that the UN General Assembly (UNGA) passed the Resolution on the Need to Lift the Economic, Commercial and Financial US Blockade against Cuba on 29 times.
