Russia demands that the US compensate global losses from Covid-19

Rusia, Occidente, sanciones
Moscow, Jul 6 (Prensa Latina) The president of the Lower House of the Russian Parliament, Viacheslav Volodin, affirmed that the United States is obliged to compensate the losses suffered by the countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The assertions made by the official are based on statements by American scientist Jeffrey Sachs, head of the commission on the study of SARS-CoV-2, who accused Washington of spreading the pathogen.

“Millions of sick and dead people, the global economic crisis, a drop in people’s standard of living are the consequences of Covid-19, for which Washington must be held accountable. All States affected by the pandemic must be compensated by the United States for the losses suffered,” Volodin wrote on Telegram.

The political leader explained that, according to Sachs, the virus was created in US biotechnology laboratories after two years of intensive study.

“When such accusations are made, President Joe Biden remains silent. He is afraid that the world will discover the truth about the real culprit of the pandemic,” Volodin said.

The chairman of the Russian State Duma also added that “the military biological developments of the Pentagon, carried out throughout the world, must be stopped and declassified.” He said regarding this that the Russian Armed Forces are studying all the evidence from over 30 research facilities deployed throughout Ukraine and financed by the United States, where components of biological weapons and new pharmaceutical products were being developed.

The Russian Ministry of Defense recently stated that the Pentagon has expanded in Ukrainian laboratories the research potential not only in the field of the creation of biological weapons, but also to obtain information on resistance to antibiotics and the presence of antibodies against certain diseases in the population of specific regions.
