Cuba commemorates diplomatic relations with Zambia

Havana, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuba is on Tuesday commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Zambia. The Cuban Foreign Ministry ratified on its Twitter account the will to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Havana and Lusaka established diplomatic ties in December 1972, and since then they have promoted the exchange of delegations.

Zambia has maintained its support for the Cuban resolution at the United Nations General Assembly against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States more than 60 years ago.

Professionals from Zambia have studied in Cuba and Cuban doctors have offered their services to the people of that nation.
