Euro ramps up after wholesale price inflation in U.S.

Berlin, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) The euro rose on Thursday and reached .0350, following wholesale price inflation data in the United States.

The European Central Bank set the reference exchange rate for the euro at $1.0338, while real exchange rate for USD was 1.0340, compared to $1.0344 in previous hours of European currency market trading on Wednesday.

American production price inflation, which includes consumer prices, slowed to 9.8% year-on-year in July from 11.3% in June.

The band of fluctuation in which the euro changed on Thursday ranged between $1.0276 and $1.0364.
