Cuba reaffirms close relations with Vietnam

United Nations, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Thursday heaped praise on Cuba´s close relations with Vietnam, in a meeting held with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Bin Minh.

According to Bruno Rodríguez, both sides reaffirmed the willingness to strengthen bilateral economic, commercial, financial and cooperation relations.

Bruno Rodriguez is currently heading the official Cuban delegation to the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), which is being held in New York, carrying out a comprehensive agenda since his arrival in the United States last Saturday.

Upon speaking to UNGA on Wednesday, the Cuban diplomat attended a meeting with foreign ministers and other representatives of the 22 Latin American nations, Spain and Portugal to analyze some details for coming 28th Ibero-American Summit. On this occasion, Bruno Rodríguez reiterated his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in this area.
