Slutski wrote on Telegram on Tuesday that although Washington assures that the Ukrainian government has nothing to do with the preparation of a “dirty bomb”, there is much evidence proving otherwise.

“Russia has already warned the international community of a possible catastrophe and is doing everything to avoid it, that is why excuses, senseless winks and attempts to blame others in this case will only put the West on the same board as the Kiev nuclear terrorists”, Slutsky summed up.

On Monday, the head of Russia’s Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops, Igor Kirillov, explained that the Russian Defense Ministry put its forces and assets on alert for action “in conditions of radioactive contamination”.

Kirillov noted that he had information about a possible Ukrainian provocation involving the use of a “dirty bomb”.

Subsequently, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, also assured that Moscow intended to present Kiev’s initiative to the United Nations.

On Sunday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held a telephone conversations with his counterparts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Turkey and France, warning them about this threat from Ukraine.

Washington, London and Paris later declared that the information provided by Moscow lacks credibility.
