Russia attacked facilities of the Ukrainian military industrial complex

Moscow, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) Russia launched a massive attack against military control facilities, as well as energy facilities that supply the Ukrainian war industry enterprises, the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov,declared today.

The spokesman detailed that the offensive achieved its goal and all designated facilities were hit, and it managed to stop the production and repair of military equipment and disrupted the transfer of Ukraine’s reserves from the western regions.

As a result of the disruption of rail transport, foreign weapons supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine were blocked in the rear areas, he stressed.

Konashenkov announced that the Russian Army defeated the units of the 25th Airborne Brigade and the 60th Mechanized Brigade in the localities of Krasnaya Gora and Klescheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, causing more than 50 casualties and destroying three armored vehicles and four pickup trucks.

Meanwhile, Russian forces annihilated more than 70 Ukrainian servicemen near the south of Donetsk, who belonged to the 72nd Mechanized Brigade and 108th Territorial Defense, the spokesman detailed.

And in the direction of Krasny Liman, near the village of Yampolovka also in Donetsk, Russian air and artillery strikes on a concentration of personnel and equipment of the 110th Territorial Defense Brigade eliminated more than 40 servicemen, four armored vehicles and five pickup trucks, he noted.

Konashenkov added that in the Kharkov region artillery hit units of the 14th and 92nd Ukrainian mechanized brigades, causing them 60 deaths and wounded casualties and also the destruction of three armored vehicles and two pickup trucks.

The Russian Air Force shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter near the locality of Novoelizavétovka, and two Mi-8 helicopters near the settlements of Druzhkovka and Yablonovka in the Donetsk republic, the spokesman said.

Konashenkov reported that his country’s Army destroyed eight Himars and Uragan missile launchers, as well as two U.S.-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars in the Donetsk and Lugansk territories.
