Bahrain congratulates Cuba for triumph of the Revolution

Manama, Dec 31 (Prensa Latina) The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, on Saturday, sent a congratulatory message to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, on the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, expressed his wishes for health and happiness to the president, as well as to his Cuban counterpart, Manuel Marrero, and to the people of the friendly Republic of Cuba the desires for development and progress.

In the midst of the complex situation caused by the blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for more than 60 years, its people and Government will look forward to the arrival of January 1, 2023, the date that marks the final liberation of the nation.

The revolutionary process in Cuba began to take shape in the late 19th century, when the frustrated attempts to overthrow the Spanish rule and achieve independence from the crown took place.

The actions of the Liberation Army left a legacy of patriotism and courage, inherited by the young generation in the mid-20th century, who, led by Fidel Castro, rose up against the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship until the revolutionary triumph in 1959.

Since then, Cuba has become a beacon of struggle and resistance against Washington’s hegemonic claims.
