Syria thanks Venezuela for solidarity ahead of deadly earthquakes

Caracas, Feb 8 (Prensa Latina) Syrian Ambassador to Caracas Kenan Zaher Al Deen on Wednesday expressed his most-sincere gratitude to the Venezuelan government for its solidarity ahead of the devastating earthquakes that hit Syria and Türkiye last Monday.

In a letter handed over to Tatiana Pugh, Deputy Minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania of Venezuela´s Foreign Ministry, Al Deen expressed his gratitude for all solidarity actions taken by the Bolivarian Republic, which “reflect the strengthened bilateral relations between the two friendly nations”.

Venezuelan officials expressed their satisfaction for the results achieved in this context and reaffirmed both nations´ commitment to strengthen friendship and cooperation ties, according to Foreign Ministry.

Türkiye Ambassador Aydan Karamanoglu, on the other hand, thanked Nicolás Maduro, Foreign Minister Yván Gil, and the Venezuelan people for their support over Monday’s death-dealing earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria.

On Twitter, Karamanoglu posted: “we will not forget Venezuela’s solidarity and friendship in amid these difficult times”.
