Cuba reports 26 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Havana, May 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Friday reported 26 new Covid-19 cases nationwide and no deaths as a result of the pandemic.

According to the closing report on May 4 at 12 at night, 15 patients were discharged, so the number of recovered people rose to 1,104,711. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,113,400 citizens have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The daily report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) informed that 100 people are sick with Covid-19 throughout the country, one of whom is seriously ill at an intensive care unit, while the death toll remains at 8,530.

In addition, 90.7 percent of the Cuban population have received the full vaccination schedule, while 8,724,326 people have been administered booster doses of homegrown vaccines.
