“The situation remains stably tense. The enemy is trying to break the defense on the Lugovoye-Malye Scherbaki section in Vasilyevsky district. Their main efforts aim to expand the bridgehead near the village of Pyatijatki,” the senior official wrote on Telegram.

Balitsky added that the Ukrainian forces are suffering significant losses.

During the fighting, the enemy has been hit by artillery fire and has not so far reached its targets.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported that the Ukrainian army has been launching unsuccessful offensives since June 4.
