The Italy-Cuba Friendship Association (ANAIC), particularly the Julio Antonio Mella Circle (CJAM), organized the event, and the Cuban Embassy in Rome, the X Municipio in this capital, and other institutions sponsored it.
During the closing session, Italian writer Roberto Fraschetti, director of Ostia Circle at ANAIC, highlighted the success of this initiative; and the presence of Municipal President Mario Falconi and other authorities.
Fraschetti thanked the Cuban Embassy and other entities, including the RomaNatura organization, Ostia Mare de Roma, Federbalneari, the Onlus 8 de Marzo Cultural Association, A.C. Severiana, the Ostia Association, and the Center for Italy-Cuba Studies, for their contribution to holding this festival.
In statements to Prensa Latina, CJAM Vice President Paula de Jesus expressed the emotions experienced during these three days of solidarity and friendship with Cuba in Ostia, the only seaside neighborhood in Rome where affection for Cuba and its people prevails.
