Russian army repels Ukrainian attacks in Donetsk region

Moscow, Sep 4 (Prensa Latina) The Russian army on Monday repelled three Ukrainian attacks near Artiomovsk and Severnoye, in Donetsk region, causing the enemy up to 285 casualties, Russian Defense Ministry informed on Monday.

In addition, the Ministry indicated that the Russian units destroyed an ammunition depot of Ukraine’s Armed Forces in the Kherson area. Ukrainian losses amounted to 35 soldiers. Whilst they repulsed four counterattacks by Ukrainian attacking groups near Sverdlovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic and in the Kupiansk area.

Russian e-warfare means destroyed and suppressed 24 Ukrainian Army drones, and in turn, the air force shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter nearby the locality of Brusovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Russian Defense Ministry further revealed his country improved the tactical situation in the Rabotino and Verbovoye districts of the Zaporozhie region and repulsed a Ukrainian counterattack in that sector of the front.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 115 servicemen, two M777 systems, two M109 Paladin howitzers and two M119 guns in the Zaporozhie front area.

Finally, the Ministry stated that Russian unmanned aerial vehicles attacked facilities of a Ukrainian shipbuilding company, where unmanned vessels were being assembled.

Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, President Vladimir Putin said the goals are to protect the population from “a genocide by the Kiev government.”
