United Arab Emirates and Cuba boost bilateral relations

Abu Dhabi, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) Representatives of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Cuba stated here today the willingness of their respective countries to foster bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in the economic, trade, investment, development and renewable energy sectors.

Wam news agency reported that the meeting was held between His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nayan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Cuban Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Ricardo Cabrisas.

Al Nayan also serves as president of the Constitutional Court of the Arabian Peninsula state.

After noting that the meeting took place in Qasr Al Watan, in Abu Dhabi, the source said that during the meeting both parties exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest, without specifying further details.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry previously stated in a press release that Cabrisas went to the UAE at the head of a delegation formed by officials from various Cuban ministries and institutions, who will hold working meetings to deepen the ties that unite the Cuban and Emirati peoples.
