Actions by US congressman against Cuba are rejected in Costa Rica

San José, March 5 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian Circle Yamileth López (Cbylo) today rejected the statements of a US congresswoman when referring to Cuba, Honduras and the solidarity between both nations.

In a statement, the solidarity group repudiated expressions by the American congresswoman of Cuban origin María Elvira Salazar, after a chapter of tangible solidarity of the Cuban Revolution with the Honduran people materialized, after the mobilization of 94 doctors and health specialists from Cuba to provide medical assistance and develop preventive health as a universal right.

With these actions, Cbylo points out, Salazar attempts to discredit and denigrate socialism, Cuba’s internationalist aid policy and cooperation agreements for the social advancement and collective well-being of the Honduran and Cuban peoples.

“She brings out tons of hatred from the base instincts of her contempt for freedom, human life and the sovereignty of the people,” the text states.

The group emphasizes that the congresswoman confuses and contaminates the right to health with capitalist slavery, which she defends and from which she cynically benefits.

This television presenter has caused a lot of verbal damage, from the companies where she has had a microphone to corrupt with her slander, violations and offenses to the integrity of Cuba and her people, she points out.

The statement highlights that from the worm-American lobby and the anti-Cuban terrorist phalanxes, with impunity to attack the Cuban people, Elvira Salazar intensifies campaigns of aggression, counterrevolutionary propaganda and disinformation regarding the reality of Cuba.

The solidarity group considers that Salazar has followed the trail of resentment and anger of those who declared methodical terrorism, dictated the genocidal blockade and unleashed a ruthless war, in a failed attempt to overthrow the popular revolutionary State of Cuba.
