In the 6th episode of the “Desde la presidencia” program, published on the Cuban Government’s Youtube channel, the president discussed the issue with Alfredo Lopez, general director of the “Union Electrica,” and the technical director of that entity, Lazaro Guerra.

Electricity generation has recently been affected in the country, among other factors, with the shutdown of some of its thermoelectric plants for scheduled maintenance or breakdowns, which forced scheduled blackouts.
