According to what the Ministry communicated to the BelTA news agency, the maneuvers are carried out in the context of Belarus and Russia’s unified regional air defense system enhancement to improve interaction and training of command and control and flight personnel.

Belarusian aviation, air defense and electronic warfare units, and Russian Air Force aircraft crews are participating in the exercise.

In the course of the maneuvers, the issues of management of heterogeneous aviation forces, and the organization of interaction in carrying out their training tasks will be developed, the report explained.

As informed by the Ministry of Defense, the main efforts during the exercise are solving tasks of protecting state and military facilities against air attacks.

In addition, the crews will have to solve in-practice issues in the interest of the protection of ground forces units.
