Beirut, June 1 (Prensa Latina) The fighters of the Lebanese Resistance (Hizbullah) today shot down an Israeli Hermes 900 drone (in Hebrew Kochav) over national territory, in the continuation of their operations in support of the people of the Gaza Strip.

Through a statement, the movement confirmed that the attack with the appropriate weapons occurred after closely monitoring, observing and following enemy drones that were bombing Lebanese villages.

In this context, the Tel Aviv army spokesperson reported that a surface-to-air missile fired at an Air Force drone was hit and fell on Lebanese soil.

The Israeli military source itself acknowledged that the plane hit was a Kochav, one of the largest and most expensive drones owned by the Air Force.

Minutes later, Hizbullah detailed in a video that the Hermes 900 is a medium-sized, multi-mission, multi-cargo unmanned aircraft, managed by two officers, a commander and an operator.

According to the audiovisual material, the drone is manufactured and designed by Elbit Systems in the Israeli entity and its technological advantages include a SAR reconnaissance radar, electro-optical and infrared sensors and satellite communication.

The Resistance indicated that the aircraft is capable of being equipped with four guided missiles with a range of 10 kilometers, such as Spike or Makholit, with the mission of collecting and transmitting data related to signals and electronic warfare, daytime and thermal images, and scanning by Radar.

At the same time, the Hermes 900 supports ground forces in intelligence and firepower and executes qualitative assassinations and attacks.

On the day, the Resistance caused direct damage in the attack with heavy Burkan missiles on the headquarters of the 769 Brigade at the Kiryat Shmona base, in response to the Zionist aggression directed at the town of Ein Qana that caused injuries to Lebanese civilians.

Hizbullah also fired rockets at the artillery bunkers in Khirbet Ma’ar and the deployment of enemy soldiers in its surroundings, in addition to destroying newly installed spy equipment at the Al-Marj site.

Before noon, Resistance men fired rockets at buildings where Israeli uniformed personnel were stationed in the settlements of Netu’a and Shomera.

In a first statement, he confirmed casualties in the enemy ranks by striking with assault drones the meetings of officers and soldiers in the new position of the armored faction north of the Yiftah barracks.

As part of their actions on the southern front in support of Gaza, Hizbullah fighters fired rockets at the Al-Baghdadi site in the eastern sector of the southern border at dawn.
