With 99.9% of tallies counted, the representative of the Le’s Keep Making History Coalition – formed by Morena, the Labor Party and the Green Party- reached 59.77% of the votes, a difference of 32.3 points in relation to her closest rival Xochitl Galvez of the opposition Force and Heart for Mexico.

“I am convinced that this result is the recognition of the people of Mexico that we are heading towards the right track and their confidence that we will continue to move forward with the Fourth Transformation,” Sheinbaum expressed.
The president-elect assured that her conviction has always been and will always be the openness to dialogue, the strengthening of freedoms, democracy and of course the closeness with the people of Mexico.
Sheinbaum, with an extraordinary endorsement as a scientist and politician, will take office on October 1, in a country historically dominated by chauvinism, but with transformations in favor of women marked during the six-year term of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s Government, where Mexican women occupied half of the parliamentary seats.
