The weather event interacts with the Intertropical Convergence Zone, one of the two located between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, formed by clouds, rainfalls, and thunderstorms, the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) reported.

This meteorological institution declared a yellow alert in the last hours nationwide to face the heavy rains, especially in the Braulio Carrillo National Park, Sarapiqui, Carrillo, Pococi, Guacimo, and Turrialba.
