At the Cubaquivir agricultural company, Lazo insisted on the importance of advancing in terms of food sovereignty and self-sufficiency, especially essential crops such as rice, where this territory has developed important experiences.
In agreement with the Parliament, the president of the Council of State also urged to strengthen agricultural production, with the application of science and innovation on a permanent basis.
Lazo also visited rice-growing areas of the Cubanacán Base Business Unit (UEB), which belongs to the Los Palacios Agroindustrial Grain Company, where he verified the progress of production and met with its workers and managers.
This agricultural area can become a model for rice production in our country, the head of the Cuban Legislature pointed out.
