A bilateral cooperation plan for the current year was also inked during the ceremony. The military institutions of Moscow and Tashkent intend to hold 50 joint events in all areas of activity of the military departments of the two countries.
The documents are part of Belousov’s official visit program to the Uzbek capital.
The Russian defense minister stressed that he and Kholmukhammedov will discuss current issues of interaction in the military and military-technical spheres, and the current situation in the region, the Russian Defense Ministry’s Telegram channel informed.
Before the meeting, Kholmukhammedov and Belousov laid wreaths at the Ode to Fortitude monument in Tashkent, which is located in the memorial complex of the Victory Park of Uzbekistan, where the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) are honored.
