The Qatari aircraft is carrying some 20 tons of relief supplies, including 384 food baskets and 7.5 tons of wheat flour, sent by the Qatar Development Fund.
This is the twelfth plane of the air bridge announced by Doha, which continues at a rate of twice a week to support the Syrian people.
The teams of the Qatar Red Crescent and the Qatar Charity Association are in charge of distributing the aid to the beneficiaries in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
A Kuwaiti plane also arrived carrying 40 tons of food, powdered milk, sanitary supplies, infant formula, blankets and winter clothing for the most needy social groups.
The aftermath of the war that has been ravaging Syria since 2011 and the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union have left at least 13 million people in need of food aid.
