On his X account, Díaz-Canel, who is also the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), expressed the will to continue to deepen the excellent relations and cooperation between the two political organizations, which he described as sisters.
Also on X, the president of the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, advocated strengthening bilateral relations and welcomed the 95th anniversary of the CPV.
Lazo noted that the Vietnamese organization has been the protagonist of all the victories “of that heroic and sister nation, together with its people.”
On Sunday, the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel underscored the major role played by the Communist Party of Vietnam since its founding in 1930.
The exaltation is contained in a congratulatory message sent to CPV General Secretary To Lam, which underlines that the Communist Party of Vietnam has been, together with its noble people, the protagonist of all the victories of that heroic nation.
The message also points out that the revolutionary practice of the PCV, and especially the Renewal policy implemented since 1986, were essential in the country’s process of socialist construction and is a reference for the international communist movement.
The Communist Party of Vietnam was founded on February 3, 1930, by the hero of national independence Ho Chi Minh, then identified with the alias Nguyen Ai Quoc, as a result of a combination of Marxism-Leninism with the labor and patriotic movements.
