Delegations from 27 CELAC member countries are attending the meeting in person, which is taking place in the colonial city of Comayagua, in central Honduras.
The event aims to coordinate efforts for the implementation of the 2024-2030 Food Security, Nutrition and Hunger Eradication Plan.
Cuban Ambassador to Honduras Juan Loforte informed on his X account that his country will be represented by Minister of Agriculture Ydael López, and the director of multilateral affairs at the Foreign Ministry, Carlos Fidel Martin.
The Secretariat (ministry) of Agriculture and Livestock reported that during the meeting, Honduras will present the progress and achievements made in 2024 within the framework of its pro tempore presidency of CELAC.
