At a press conference on Friday, Yuenking explained that the event, scheduled from February 28 to March 2, is part of collaboration between Cubasol, Cubadeporte and Tropicana to create a unique event where sport, culture and recreation come together.
The planned events consist of a lecture by professors from the Office of the City Historian on the appearance of classic cars in Havana, a rally of classic (US-made) cars with stops at historic places in the capital and a grand parade of those vehicles.
Meanwhile, a Tropicana show is planned for the awards ceremony.
According to the organizing committee, the Festival will boost tourism by allowing international visitors to enjoy a unique experience that will be linked to the 85th anniversary of the emblematic cabaret.
