Reports from civil organizations stated that the attacks took place on Monday in the Al Gutaina district, where the so-called Rapid Support Forces (RSF) conducted what was described as a real massacre, when shooting indiscriminately at unarmed civilians, including women and children.
Emergency Lawyers, a group bringing together legal experts in human rights, condemned the brutal attacks, which, they said, are war crimes against humanity by the RSF, who must be held accountable for this barbarity.
Since mid-April 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in an internal civil war following a power struggle between Army Chief, General Abdel Fatah al-Burhan, and RSF leader, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
The conflict has forced more than 11 million Sudanese to flee their homes in what experts call the world’s largest displacement crisis.
