Chinese National People’s Congress (NPC) Spokesperson Lou Qinjian pointed out that the stable and healthy development of bilateral ties meets the fundamental interests of both sides.
“China-European Union (EU) relations will mark 50 years in 2025. During this time, the two sides have demonstrated that there are no fundamental conflicts of interest or geopolitical tensions,” he pointed out.
According to Lou, economic and trade cooperation has promoted both sides’ development and contributed to the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
He added that the complementary relationship has helped strengthen global economic stability and promote growth.
He noted that the two sides could make use of their advantages to achieve mutual benefits in several cooperation areas.
The NPC spokesperson stressed that China-EU relations are not directed against third parties or affected by external factors.
