On World Glaucoma Day, the invitation is to have an ophthalmologic control and to spread the importance of this disease that can be devastating if not treated in time.

Since 2008, every March 12, messages of reflection are sent for World Glaucoma Day, to raise awareness about this eye disease that can lead to progressive vision loss.

It is a group of more than 60 pathologies that affect the optic nerve and, if not treated in time, can lead to irreversible blindness.

Glaucoma is one of the main causes of blindness in people over 60 years of age, although it can manifest itself at any age. It is a group of eye diseases that cause progressive damage to the optic nerve, which is responsible for transmitting visual information to the brain.
