According to a statement issued by the Sudan Doctors Network, the massacre occurred near Al-Sahla, in south Omdurman, on Sunday, leaving 31 civilians dead, among them several children.
The source described the killing as the biggest mass crime to occur in that region since the war started.
The area is considered the last stronghold of the so-called Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the region after their withdrawal from the capital in the face of the latest army offensive.
Since mid-April 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in an internal war, following a power struggle between Army Chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the RSF leader, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
