A release published on the Foreign Ministry’s official website points out that during his stay in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, Tajani will meet with his counterpart, Gordan Grlic Radman, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, with whom he will address issues of common interest.
The state of relations between the two nations and various regional and international issues will be assessed in those contacts, with emphasis on actions to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the role of coordination within the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The strengthening of economic cooperation will also be discussed.
Tajani and Grlic Radman will participate in the Italy-Croatia Business Forum, where the Italian Export Plan will be presented, “which identifies the Adriatic-Balkan Area as a region with high potential,” the document notes.
This forum aims to relaunch the economic partnership between the two countries, which currently have an exchange of more than eight billion euros, with a positive trade balance for Rome, the second largest supplier to Croatia, and a market share of 13.3 percent.
