Information was also provided on the contribution of these resources to the creation of a Renewable Energy Research and Development Center.
According to the Presidential Communications Secretariat, the contribution will be made by Envision Group, a Chinese company specializing in low-carbon energy solutions, including SAF produced from sugarcane.
Lula “met separately with several companies that will invest in Brazil, form partnerships with institutions, establish research centers, and generate technological development in the energy sector,” Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, stated.
He praised the country’s potential in the sector.
“We concluded a hearing with the announcement of a billion dollar investment for SAF production. Brazil will become one of the largest producers of green aviation fuels,” he said.
