“Another 303 Russian servicemen returned this May 25 from the territory under the control of the Kiev regime, and in exchange, an equal number of Ukrainian prisoners were handed over,” the Russian military agency informed the press this Sunday.
The statement also explains that the Russian servicemen are currently in the Republic of Belarus, where they are receiving necessary medical and psychological assistance.
Subsequently, all those released will be transferred to Ministry of Defense medical centers for treatment and rehabilitation.
On Friday, both countries exchanged 390 people (270 military personnel and 120 civilians), and on Saturday they exchanged 307 prisoners of war, bringing the total to 1,000 on each side.
This is the largest exchange by the warring parties in more than three years of their armed conflict.
