Chemezov stated that, for security reasons, the organizers decided not to hold the important exhibition, which was then scheduled for the summer of 2026.
The event, which was postponed from July 2023 to a later date, was tentatively scheduled for July 23-28, 2024. However, the event was held online under the name eMAKS, and it was expected to be held in person in 2025.
MAKS is an exhibition of technologies and equipment for the aeronautical and space sectors.
The MAKS exhibitions are held every two years in the city of Zhukovsky, located just outside Moscow and home to one of the Russian capital’s civil airports.
The Aerospace Show dates back to 1993. The exhibition spans over 42 hectares, hosts more than 150 events, and attracts over half a million visitors, a quarter of whom are industry professionals.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Rostec Corporation are the organizers of the exhibition.
