Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun announced at a press conference that Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang will travel to Russia from June 19 to 21 to attend the 28th edition of the forum, at the invitation of the Russian government.
The spokesperson stated that the theme of this event will be “Common Values: The Basis for the Development of a Multipolar World,” and that all parties will discuss effective ways to address global problems.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 18 to 21.
President Xi Jinping was invited to the forum twice and expressed his firm stance in defending true multilateralism and promoting the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.
