New flight from the US arrived in Venezuela with 135 deported migrant

Caracas, June 17 (Prensa Latina) A new direct flight from Texas, United States, repatriated 135 migrants to Venezuela as part of the government's Return to the Homeland plan, the 33rd in 2025.

The US-registered aircraft landed at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, La Guaira state, where it was received by authorities from various government agencies.

As is customary, the new arrivals underwent established legal and health protocols, and those with no outstanding legal debts were then returned to their homes.

This is the twelfth direct arrival from the northern nation with Venezuelan deportees and the 33rd since February 10, when flights resumed.

From January to today, 6,166 Venezuelans have returned to the country, so far this year.

The fifth month of the year was reported to have the most flights arriving in the country with 12, followed by April with eight, four in March, the same number in February, and five in June so far.

This government program, now known as the Great Mission, was created in 2018 by President Nicolas Maduro and has provided free travel to more than 1.3 million compatriots, who returned from various parts of the world by air, some by sea, and across the border.
