According to a statement released to the Italian press, the Nicaraguan diplomatic mission, in collaboration with the International Italian-Latin American Organization, presented the natural, cultural, and human resources of this Central American country to a specialized audience from the Italian tourism sector.
She noted that, during the event dedicated to promoting Nicaragua’s leisure industry, the National Tourism Map was presented. This interactive platform is available in several languages, including Italian, and allows users to explore itineraries, destinations, services, and authentic tourism offerings.
“Nicaragua is a country waiting to be discovered. Precisely because it is off the beaten path of mass tourism, it represents an extraordinary opportunity for those seeking authentic destinations and genuine experiences. Our true treasure is our people: welcoming, warm, and authentic; anyone who visits Nicaragua is not just a tourist, but a friend,” said Robelo.
The diplomat highlighted the Sandinista government’s efforts in developing tourism infrastructure and services, while renewing the Embassy’s willingness to serve as a bridge of collaboration with travel agencies, tour operators, and industry professionals.
“We don’t want to be an isolated destination, but rather one that generates collective well-being and authentic bonds between visitors and communities,” she stated.
The tourism sector in Nicaragua has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by the country’s variety of attractions, becoming an important driver for the national economy.
