“We celebrate with you this historic date that honors the courage and struggle of the Mozambican people for their self-determination, sovereignty, and freedom,” stated a letter from the Sandinista government addressed to President Daniel Chapo.
The text, signed by Nicaragua’s co-presidents, Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, reaffirmed their admiration for the example of dignity, resilience, and hope that Mozambique represents for the peoples of the Global South.
It also highlighted the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation that unite both nations, as well as Nicaragua’s willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations for the benefit of both peoples.
“Please accept, dear brother, our most sincere congratulations and best wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people and government of the Republic of Mozambique,” the statement concluded.
