General Khaled Eid, head of the Department, informed that three million Captagon pills and 50 kilograms of hashish, belonging to a drug trafficking network operating between Lebanon and Syria through illegal border crossings, were seized.
We ambushed a route used by the network, which led to an armed confrontation with the traffickers, who managed to flee by abandoning a vehicle laden with drugs, he said.
The head of the Anti-Narcotics Department stated in previous statements that Syria is committed to fighting this scourge that has affected the country’s society and youth during the war.
Eid revealed that, since December 2024, some 13 warehouses and drug manufacturing plants, 121 tons of raw materials, 320 million Captagon tablets, 1,826 kilograms of hashish, 2,399 packages of Lorica, 312 packages of Zollam, in addition to quantities of cocaine, H-Bose, marijuana, and powdered heroin, have been seized.
