The press release issued by the company details the actions taken by each airline to protect customers amid a situation caused by the continued interference of Ukrainian drones in Russian territory.
Rosaviatsia reported, “Between Saturday and Monday morning, airlines were forced to cancel 485 flights, 88 aircraft used reserve airfields, delayed 1,900 others, and 43,000 tickets were refunded.”
The agency also reported that 94,000 passengers were provided with hotel accommodation, 199,000 vouchers were distributed for drinks, and 155,000 meals were provided.
It added that Russian airports are currently functioning normally, while highlighting that the country’s air transportation system has shown its resilience to external disruptions.
