At a meeting on the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s development, experts and academicians highlighted challenges in managing the Mekong River, climate resilience and food security.
Thong Mengdavid, a geopolitics specialist at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, stressed that links between the youth of the Cambodian People’s Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam should be at the center of cooperation.
For his part, Seun Sam, an analyst at the Royal Cambodian Academy, stressed the need to promote agreements, trust and friendship on the border in order to enhance trade and understanding between the two peoples.
Vietnamese ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu stressed that the two nations have a relationship of sovereign partners and brotherhood forged in both the struggle and peace, which must be passed on to new generations.
