“We strongly reject all machinations of the United States of America,” the member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation told Prensa Latina after signing a declaration at the Venezuelan embassy in New Delhi rejecting Washington’s deployment of warships near the coast of the South American country.
In addition to condemning the escalation of violence by the US administration under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking, Dimri considered that these and other threats, such as economic ones, are aimed at trying to subjugate the democratic government of Venezuela, which opposes imperialism.
He noted that the governments of Latin American countries must reject Trump’s accumulation of weapons and warships in their region, which represents another aggression, primarily against nations in the Global South.
“The Trump administration, in essence, spares no effort to subjugate all of these governments,” he emphasized.
Along with the Indian union leader, young women, professors, and other leaders of leftist organizations also visited the Venezuelan diplomatic mission to demonstrate their support for the South American nation.
For two days, the Venezuelan embassy opened its doors to those who love peace and believe in defending the security and democracy of their countries.
