The forum, held under the slogan “Defending Health is Defending Colombia,” will take place in the central Plaza de Bolivar in the capital and will be attended by President Gustavo Petro, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

The Ministry added that the event will serve as a public space for reflection and collaboration to recognize this fundamental service as a cornerstone of government action in the regions.

Furthermore, the Ministry stated, the meeting aims to strengthen dialogue between the national government and local authorities on the implementation of the preventive, predictive, and resolutive model in urban, rural, dispersed rural, and ethnic contexts, emphasizing its contribution to territorial stability and the effective guarantee of rights.

The meeting will also be attended by the Minister of Health, Guillermo Jaramillo, who will present the entity’s main investments and management during the current administration.

The Ministry further stated that the meeting also aims to reaffirm its commitment to an effective institutional presence in the territories and intersectoral coordination as pillars for advancing the progressive guarantee of the fundamental right to health and building territorial environments of care and peace.
