The statement reads that the president held talks separately with King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa; Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman; and Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
El-Sisi also spoke with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; King Abdullah II of Jordan; Emir of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani.
The text exoressed that the president expressed his solidarity with these nations following Iranian retaliatory incursions against US assets in the region.
El-Sisi warned that war could further destabilize the region and thus push the Middle East into wider chaos.
He underscored that political solutions, not military action, are the only viable way to resolve the crisis.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry also reiterated, shortly before, in a statement, the need to seek political and peaceful solutions to the crisis because conflict “will only lead to more violence and bloodshed.”
